About us
Most companies selling tours of Rajasthan are intermediaries. You write to an office, an office writes to a supplier, and on the first morning a driver you have never heard of arrives. We are the driver.
Incredible Tours and Vacation is a small family operation based in Jaipur, run by Mukesh Sain, who has been driving visitors across Rajasthan and North India since 2009 — around 700 international guests and more than a thousand Indian ones in that time. On most trips Mukesh drives himself. When two groups travel at once, one of his own drivers takes over — the same people, year after year, not a pool of subcontractors.
There is no office and no call centre. When you write, you are writing to the person who will be at the airport. That is unusual enough in this business that travellers keep remarking on it in the reviews, which is how we know it matters.
Dates, how many of you, and what interests you. That is enough to start. You do not need a finished plan — most people do not have one.
Usually within 24 hours. A day-by-day route, what is included and what is not, and a fixed price. No deposit to see it.
Almost everyone does, and that is the point of a private trip. Add a day in Udaipur, drop Pushkar, start earlier because of a flight.
With your name on a sign, inside the terminal. From there the car and the driver are yours until you fly home.
It means there is nobody else in the car and no fixed schedule. If a place turns out to be worth three hours instead of one, you stay three hours. If you want to leave at six in the morning to reach the Taj at sunrise, you leave at six. If you are tired, the day gets shorter.
It also means the route is built around the light and the crowds rather than around what is convenient for the driver. Amber Fort early, Hawa Mahal late in the afternoon when the sun is on the facade. That sequencing is most of what separates a good day in Jaipur from an exhausting one, and it is the part you cannot get from a guidebook.
In Rajasthan a great many drivers are paid to deliver visitors to particular emporiums. It is why so many tours include shopping nobody asked for. We do not take those commissions. If you want to buy textiles or gemstones we will take you somewhere honest and wait outside; if you do not, the subject never comes up.
The price agreed before you travel covers fuel, tolls, interstate tax and parking. Hotels, entrance tickets and meals are yours, and we say so in writing beforehand rather than at the end of the week.
Mostly couples, families and small groups from Europe, with a large share of them Italian. Many are travelling in India for the first time, and a good part of the job is making that first week feel manageable: which roadside restaurants are safe, what a fair price is, when to say no. Everything is in English, which is the language we all share.
The trips run from a single day in Jaipur to fifteen days across North India. The most common is around eleven, which is roughly the point at which Rajasthan stops being a checklist. A full tour, with nothing skipped and nothing rushed, takes fifteen to twenty.
Every vehicle is air-conditioned, and the air conditioning is on before you get in. Which one you get depends on how many of you are travelling and how much luggage you have — tell us and we send the right size.
Everything above is what we would say about ourselves. The useful version is what 196 travellers have already said, unprompted, on Tripadvisor — where the rating is 5.0 out of 5 and the company is ranked #72 of 1,739 tours and activities in Jaipur.
He was not simply our driver. He became a trusted person who was always there when we needed him, with kindness, patience and a smile.
He was much more than just a driver: he drove safely and professionally, knew the places extremely well, and was always available.
He made us always feel safe and comfortable — something that is not always easy on Indian roads!
